Leafcutter-1 was drilled to test the upthrown (high) block of the Beagle Ridge to the west of the Woodada Gas Field, located within the Woodada Production Licence (L4) 260km north of Perth, Western Australia.

Minor hydrocarbon shows including fluorescence and background gas (C1 to C5) were recorded within sandstone intervals in the basal Carynginia shale and upper Irwin River Coal Measures.

However, evaluation of wireline log data confirmed that the hydrocarbons are residual shows and no significant hydrocarbons were recovered during MDT wireline sampling.

Participants in the well were Bounty Oil & Gas 25% and Hardman Resources 75%.
