The company said total depth wireline logging is currently taking place with further evaluation of the results to be undertaken.

The well is located some 11km southwest of the Norfolk oil discovery in water depth of 147m. Following abandonment of Exeter-1, the rig will move to the Mutineer-2 appraisal well, which is also located in WA-191P.

Interests in the well are Santos (operator) 44.53 per cent, Mobile Australian Resources Company 44.54% and Woodside 10.9333%.
