DRILLING

Mosaic to continue sole risk wells

Mosaic is going to continue drilling its run of sole risk wells in the productive Churchie - Noorindoo play in south west Queensland.

The company said it will drill the final well - Norkam 1 - in its sole risk program which has yielded a number of incremental oil discoveries. Partner Santos had elected not to participate and hence Mosaic has rights to 100% of the production.

After Norkam 1, Mosaic said it will drill the Tinker 5 appraisal well in the Silver Springs area. Both wells are continuing the nitrogen-assisted drilling approach which had prevented a lot of the formation damage that had historically restricted the flow of oil from wells in this region.
