Testing encourages VicPet

Prelimary testing of the San Antonio well in California has yielded encouraging 'slugs' of oil, according to managing director John Kopcheff. The well is producing initial flow rates of 80 barrels of clean oil per day with no water contact.

Kopcheff said the well was flowing in 'slugs' of oil as it had not yet stabilised, but was it was encouraging news nonetheless.

The well will be continued to be cleaned up and fracture stimulated to increase the flow rates.
