Partners have a devil of a time at Saintly

Beach Petroleum and Stuart Petroleum are preparing to abandon the Saintly-1 well, in PEL 113, 50km south of Moomba, after consecutive drill stem tests (DST’s) revealed no commercial hydrocarbons.

The two tests run over the McKinlay and Cadnaowie formations each recovered one barrel of ‘rat hole’ mud although hydrocarbon shows in the Murta formation will be evaluated later in the drilling program.

Interests in PEL 113, Cooper/Eromanga Basin, SA are Stuart Petroleum Limited (Operator) 66.7% and Beach Petroleum Limited 33.3%.
