Weak pressure puts Nabrajah-5 under the pump

OIL Search said it was continuing its drill stem test of the Nabrajah-5 well in Yemen with an electric submersible pump after the test failed to flow under its own pressure.

It said it was continuing the testing program over the Basement interval and when completed, the overlying Kholan Formation dolomite will be tested.

The objective of the testing program is to evaluate the significance of hydrocarbon shows seen in the upper part of the Basement and to establish the nature and productivity of the hydrocarbons in the Kholan Formation.

Nabrajah-5 is a deviated well with a top Qishn S2 target location approximately 1,100 metres south of Nabrajah-4.

Interests are DNO ASA 56.67%, operator, Oil Search (Yemen) Limited 28.33%, The Yemen Company 15%, carried.
