According to the company, Gilbert Freeman-3 was drilled on June 6 and is the seventh well at Rayburn.

The well is targeting additional field reserves in multiple objectives in the Middle Wilcox Formation and has a target depth of 3719m.

Gilbert Freeman-3 is about 640m west-southwest of Gilbert Freeman-1 and 762m west-northwest of the initial discovery well Duncan-1.

In other company news, Strike said plans for testing Duncan-3 and Gilbert Freeman-2 wells are on schedule to begin in about two weeks.

Wireline logs acquired from Gilbert Freeman-2 have confirmed the well intersected a similar high-quality pay section to that encountered in the nearby wells.

Strike has a 22.8% working interest in the Rayburn project.
