Kowhai field flows gas from Matapo sandstone

NEW Zealand private explorer Greymouth Petroleum today confirmed that the onshore Taranaki Kowhai field has flowed gas from the Matapo sandstones – the first time this formation has flowed commercial quantities of gas.
