Funding available for renewable energy projects

The Sustainable Energy Development Authority of NSW has announced that the seventh round of the NSW 'Renewable Investment Program' is now open. Up to $2 million is available for new projects in solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal, wave and tidal power in NSW.

Applicants are invited to bid for funding through low-interest loans, grants or equity placement. Projects must be commercial or demonstrate commercially-sound technologies to be eligible. The Renewable Investment Program does not support research and development. Applications close 5.00 pm, 8 February 2002.
