THE latest Queensland state budget, released last week, reveals plans the Palaszczuk government has committed a whopping A$31.6 million over five years to clean up the environmental damage caused by underground coal gasification company Linc Energy in 2015.

The now defunct Australian-based, Singapore-listed company operated four UCG sites at Chinchilla in the Darling Downs over a six-year period beginning in 2007.
