CHC awarded North Sea contract

Canada's CHC Helicopter Corp has announced that its European operating arm has been awarded a US$26.3 million contract to supply helicopters for rig operations in the North Sea fields. The contract is for three years with an option to extend for another two.

Under the terms of the deal, CHC Europe will supply Super Puma AS332L helicopters to service rigs owned by Eni UK Ltd, BG Group and ConocoPhillips Petroleum Co UK Ltd. The aircraft will be based at CHC's Aberdeen base in Scotland. Operations will commence on 1 February.

CHC is the world's leading provider of heavy and medium helicopter services to the global offshore oil and gas industry. It has operations in over 30 countries and operates more than three hundred helicopters worldwide.
