The DOF charter

DOF Subsea has chartered a newbuild construction support vessel to assist with its North Sea operations.

The DOF charter

It has entered into the two-year charter contract with Reach Subsea for the Normand Reach.

The deal has two one-year extension options.

The Normand Reach is due to be delivered before the end of May and will replace DOF Subsea's existing Skandi Bergen vessel for high-end construction projects.

The vessel is 121m long and equipped with a 250 tonne active heave-compensated crane and two work class remotely operated vehicles.

DOF Subsea UK managing director Giovanni Corbetta said the vessel would be instrumental in responding to the company's growing number of projects in the North Sea and Atlantic region.

The vessel will be completely dedicated to the North Sea and support DOF Subsea's continuing growth plans within the UK and Norway.

Its first assignments will be for execution of projects for global operators in the UK.

The projects will be managed by DOF Subsea UK.
