OTTO Energy has started drilling South Timbalier 224 to show that its South Marsh Island 71 discovery was no fluke and give it more leverage to expand its Gulf of Mexico footprint, its exploration chief Paul Senycia told Energy News.

The junior is targeting more than 90 trillion cubic feet and about 3.2 million barrels of oil at the target, which should start producing by October next year if all goes well.
