July close for delayed Indo E&P bids

The Indonesian state-owned MIGAS, gas has announced that the round of bids delayed from last quarter 2001 would reopen for offers until the end of July 2002.

Indonesia is offering seventeen blocks in an exploration and production tender comprised of new and rereleased acreage, including the Taritip and Jangeru blocks in Makassar Straits. The remaining acreages offered in the tender include three onshore blocks and 12 offshore blocks.

The onshore blocks are Bangkanai in central Kalimantan, and Polewali and Enkarang in south Sulawesi. The offshore acreages include a third block in Makassar Straits called Muara Bakau and the Anambas block in Natuna Sea. The other offshore blocks are: Tigau and Mentana off Northeast Kalimantan, Biga and Setaf in the Seram Sea and another six acreages, Amborip I-VI, in the Arufa Sea offshore West Papua.
