The drillship is currently completing work in the North Sea after which the rig will mobilise to Mauritania, where it is expected to arrive in the third week of August.

The joint venture has agreed to drill two firm wells in the 2003 drilling campaign. The Chinguetti appraisal well, which is intended to be suitable for long term production with measures in place to control sand inflow and the Tiof prospect, located about 25km north of the Chinguetti Field.

A third well will be proposed in PSC Area B on the basis of a number of prospects currently under consideration and a fourth well is to be drilled in the Dana Petroleum operated PSC Block 7.

PSC Block 7 is a large structural closure with multiple reservoir targets in water depth of about 1,700m. The Block 7 joint venture has agreed to drill this well at the end of the Woodside drilling program.

The partners in the Chinguetti project include Woodside 35%, Hardman 21.6%, Italian ENI SpA 35%, Premier Oil 6%) and Roc Oil 2.4%.
