Pakistani gas discovery

The Pakistan Oil and Gas Development Company has made a discovery in the southern province of Sindh.

It is the company's sixth discovery this year. The discovery was made from the Norai Jajir exploratory well, 25km southeast of Hyderabad.

During the initial testing the well has flowed 410 barrels per day of condensate oil and about 10 MCFD gas.

The state firm has a 95% stake in the exploration license area. The other 5% stake is owned by Government Holding Private.
