Apache-led JV to P&A Libris-1

THE Libris-1 exploration well in Western Australia’s Dampier Sub-basin will be plugged and abandoned after wireline log results indicated sub-economic oil discoveries in the Upper and Lower Angel Formation objectives, according to junior partner Pan Pacific Petroleum.

Evaluation operations are continuing at the well, which reached a total depth of 3481m on Friday, before it is plugged and abandoned.

The WA-246-P joint venture comprises Apache Northwest (operator with a 45% stake), Kufpec Australia (20%), Santos (15%), Tap (Harriet) (10%) and Pan Pacific (10%).
