Slugcatcher and the death of big oil

MIKHAIL Gorbachev and the world's big four oil companies do not appear to have much in common except when Slugcatcher thinks of that famous Mark Twain saying about "news of my death being greatly exaggerated".

Gorby, the man who officially killed the Soviet Union in 1991, fell back on the Twain comment when he was sent to his grave somewhat early last week by a couple of Moscow tweeters.
