Otto spuds new Texas well

OTTO Energy said this morning its Thunder Gulch-1 well to test the Mustang prospect in Texas it shares with operator and local giant Hilcorp (62.5%) has spud, drilling from an onshore rig and was at 578 feet at the time of reporting.

  It will be drilled to 19,000ft measured depth over an expected 74 days and will cost US$6.77 million.    The well is targeting the Vicksburg sand, Oligocene in age, which Otto suggests is underexplored...
