ExxonMobil gets green light for Gippsland drilling

EXXONMOBIL's has been given the go-ahead by NOPSEMA to drill the Sculpin-1 well in offshore exploration permit area VIC/P70 in the Gippsland Basin, giving Victorian exploration a shot in the arm after a period of quiet and indicating more optimism from the oiler after it gave the go-ahead for the Bass Strait West Barracouta gas project last year.
