Exxon revises up Guyana recoverable resources to over 8Bboe

GUYANA is the gift which keeps on giving for ExxonMobil after the US company again revised up its recoverable resources estimate to over 8 billion barrels of oil equivalent overnight, a rise of 2Bboe from its last estimate and based on recent discoveries  in its huge 6.6 million acre deep water Stabroek block.

The company first hit oil in 2015 but even two years ago the Houston headquartered company still estimated recoverable resources in Guyana at around 4Bboe.    The company has now made 15 discoveries...
