Strike hits gas early at WE-3

WEST Erregulla-3 has already found gas in the upper reaches before its two primary targets after operator Strike Eneryg told the market this morning there was sustained gas flaring from the Carynginia shale from the appraisal well.

The Perth Basin well  has been drilled to 4279 metres of its planned 5000m and Strike said it has drilled through the Dongara, Upper Wagina and Basal Wagina sandstones and now the Caringynia shale.  ...
