BHP doubles net profits year-on-year, delivers record dividend

AUSTRALIAN mining and petroleum giant BHP has reported full-year net profits of US$8.3 billion (A$12.26 billion), more than double the $US3.7 billion in profits the company reported the year before when it took heavy writedowns on its US shale assets.
