Industrial manslaughter laws come into effect in QLD

QUEENSLAND has passed new industrial manslaughter laws which will apply to the mining and oil and gas industries.

QLD premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has introduced prison sentences for senior management figures found to have neglected safe work practices leading to the death of an oil and gas worker.
