Chevron records US$8.3 billion loss

CHEVRON Corporation recorded a US$8.3 billion (A$11.6 billion) loss in its quarterly results on Friday including $1.8 billion in impairments and $870 million in redundancy payments, lower than some of its peers including fellow Australian LNG exporter Woodside, which impaired most of its Western Australia LNG assets in early July.
