Santos profit down 48% 

IN AN earnings presentation that used the word 'growth' more times than you could count on all fingers, Santos chief Kevin Gallagher outlined a way forward after the half-year's heavy losses, pointing out, despite the fall in the price of Brent, the company was still doing much better than 2016 before he took over.
