A DUTCH court has ruled that Shell must slash its greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030 after ruling in favour of a case brought forward by an activist group that argued the company was responsible for climate change.

The court said the ruling applies across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and applies to the company's entire group, which is headquartered in the Hague and incorporated in the UK, meaning it could have
