ASX Energy up 5% amid surging oil and gas prices

THE S&P/ASX200 closed 1% lower on Monday, in contrast to the Energy Sector which is up 5.2%, as oil and gas prices surge off news that the US and the European Union are considering banning Russian oil imports.
