A RECENT decision by the Federal Court of Australia will see oil and gas companies forced to pay fringe benefits tax if they roster fly-in-fly-out workers on site, instead of from the airport.
The case was an appeal by contractor Bechtel Australia which employed FIFO workers to carry out engineering, procurement, and construction work for all three of the LNG plants at Curtis Island
