ALS on front foot despite loss

CHEVRON Corporation's Wheatstone LNG project has been one of the few shining lights for testing provider ALS, which is still going on the front foot "bidding to win" despite its oil and gas business failing to break even in the 2016 fiscal year.

While ALS' revenue dropped a mere 4% thanks to its largest division, life sciences, which posted a record high income, ongoing resources volatility drove its overall underlying EBIT down 19.
