According to Gail chairman Proshanto Banerjee the company was able to offer such a scheme thanks to the reliability of its network.
“The company [is] able to ensure a 99.99% availability of gas throughout its entire 4,600 km pipeline network in 2003-04 [and] Gail is hoping to use this reliability to gain more customers.”
“[Gail also] hopes to continue achieving the current 14.5% year-on-year net profit increase,” added Banerjee.
