Harriet venture completes Rose for gas production

DEVELOPMENT of the Rose gas and condensate field at the Harriet Joint Venture in offshore Carnarvon Basin is complete, Harriet partners Apache and Tap announced yesterday.

Harriet venture completes Rose for gas production

The Rose-4 development well started production with 125 tetrajoules of natural gas and 3,500 barrels of condensate from the Brigadier and Mungaroo formations.

The five-year-old field, operated by Apache Corporation, is about 16 kilometres north-east of Apache's Varanus Island production hub in about 28m feet of water.

It has been developed at a cost of A$17.1 million from the existing Linda Platform. Its development enhances the Harriet Joint Venture's gas deliverability and the gas produced will be sold into existing contracts, Tap said.

The adjacent Lee gas and condensate field will also be developed from the platform as the gas reserves are needed for the Harriet joint venture gas contracts.

Production from Rose will be sold into 13 dedicated contracts.

Participants: Apache Corporation (operator) 68.5%, Kufpec 19.3% and Tap Oil 12.2%.
