Shareholder queries prompted Beach to release the information to the market, after the company failed to specify the figure in its quarterly report.

In the Cooper/Eromanga Basin, Beach said it has a total of 69.8MMboe in 2P reserves. This figure comprises 11.3 million barrels of oil, 298 petajoules of gas and 7.3MMboe of gas liquids. Beach said these reserves were compiled on the basis of operator assessments.

Meanwhile, Beach said it has 19.6MMboe of 2P reserves in the Gippsland Basin, of which all of it is considered to be oil. These results were based on an independent assessment by Gaffney, Cline and Associates (GCA) in August.

In addition, GCA estimated the Basker-Manta-Gummy fields contained a best estimate contingent resource of 36MMboe net to Beach. Conversion of this resource to a reserve depends on receiving gas sales contract and development approval.

In the Surat Basin, Beach said Netherland Sewell and Associates considers it has 70PJ of 2P gas, which translates to about 101MMboe.
