In a statement on Friday, Nuenco said the operation would evaluate 10 gas bearing intervals seen in each of the Jack Hamar 1-12, 1-13 and 2-13 wells.

“An extensive dedicated testing and appraisal program will involve: workover rig activity, perforating, flowing and testing all the prospective intervals, commencing at the deepest intervals,” the company said.

“If the interval is productive, an extended production test will be performed to confirm sustainable commercial flow rates.”

The workover rig was originally due to begin testing the wells in late January.

However, the rig was unable to move on location due to heavy rainfall and snow in the southern California valley.

Nuenco and Solimar each hold a 50% stake in the South East Lost Hills project.
