Carbon has potential to meet east coast energy supply

UNDERGROUND coal gasification proponent Carbon Energy says the resources at its Bloodwood Creek site in the Surat Basin give the company the potential to be a major contributor to Australia's east coast energy supply.

The company said more than 4245 petajoules of energy could be recovered as syngas from the 364 million tonne coal resource in coal seams greater than 5m thick.
