AGL to hang up on Dingo Blue customers next month

Australian Gas Light has told the markets that its telco subsidiary, Dingo Blue, will cease providing local and long distance services as well as dial up internet services at 5.00 pm on 30 May 2002. Dingo Blue has advised its 100,000-strong customers to seek other telecommunication service providers before that date.

AGL said Dingo Blue intends to provide mobile phone services at least until issues stemming from the acquisition of Dingo Blue have been resolved with Optus.
