SNC-Lavalin signs on for Burrup Peninsula fertiliser plant

FOLLOWING an announcement from Woodside Petroleum this morning that it will supply 125 terrajoules of gas a day to Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers SNC-Lavalin has signed on for project delivery for the Burrup Peninsula urea fertiliser plant.

  The cost of the plant is estimated at A$4.3 billion and will be 20km northwest of Karratha with a planned output of two million tonnes of urea a year, and will employ 2000 during the construction phase...
