AGL considering acquiring Vocus Group

NETWORK and data provider Vocus Group was up nearly 9% this afternoon after it received an unexpected takeover bid from power giant AGL Energy which is looking to acquire Vocus at A$4.85 per share, or roughly $3 billion.

  This morning AGL told the market it has been granted exclusive access to conduct due diligence on Vocus for a period of four weeks after submitting a non-binding indicative proposal for the acquisition. ...
