THE Australian share market has closed the week higher, recording its best week since 2011 with a 6.3% gain, after a strong day of trade.

  Early on this morning the S&P/ASX 200 rose 1.70%, despite falls yesterday, and the optimism continued into the afternoon with the benchmark finishing the day up 180.4 points, or 3.46%, to 5387.3....
