THE energy sector has been hit harder than the rest of the ASX today falling over 6% this morning before righting itself to around 4% by the end of the day but still wiping out a strong rally early this week.

Yesterday saw the largest fall since March. Over $90 billion has been wiped from the market in two days. 
 
The S&P/ASX200 is down 1.89% or 93.3 points to 5867.3 points.
