German utility inks 25-yr gas import deal via new terminal

GERMAN utility EnBW agreed yesterday to import LNG and green ammonia for 25 years as the country replaces disrupted Russian pipeline gas supply. The company inked a long-term capacity booking for 3 bcm of LNG per year at a terminal in the northern city of Stade, EnBW’s trading executive director Peter Heydecker said in an interview.

That equals around a quarter of the total capacity of the Hanseatic Energy Hub terminal and just a fraction of Germany's needs, a BNN Bloomberg report said.
