AGL and Telstra in $85 million service agreements

Telstra will provide voice, data and wireless telecommunications services to AGL under a three-year deal worth more than $35 million. AGL will provide Telstra with electricity in NSW and metering services in Victoria under a three-year contract worth more than $50 million, in addition to existing energy supply contracts in other states.

AGL managing director, Greg Martin, said a whole of business agreement with Telstra for AGL's telecommunications requirements would deliver substantial benefits to the company as well as provide the opportunity to enhance technology systems.

"AGL is also pleased to continue to provide our energy expertise to Telstra through new electricity supply and metering contracts. We look forward to working with Telstra and enjoying the advantages of a closer business relationship," Martin said.
