In partnership with Foster Wheeler, Worley said it had been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction management contract for the project’s onshore production plant and associated infrastructure.

This is Worley’s third Pluto contract, after most recently winning the engineering, procurement and construction management support services contract for the offshore platform in partnership with KBR.

Worley was also awarded the detailed design contract for stage one of the Pluto marine supply base.

These three contracts are expected to deliver Worley a total of $320 million in revenue.

The Pluto LNG project involves the development of the Pluto and Xena gas fields, located about 180km off Karratha, in up to 1000 metres of water.

The first phase of development will include five subsea wells on the Pluto field with flowlines to a platform connected by subsea pipeline to an onshore plant capable of producing 3 million tonnes of LNG per year.
