Companies eye stake in Liquid Niugini Gas

INTEROIL's Liquid Niugini Gas liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea has attracted indicative bids from potential farm-in partners looking to secure a 20-35% stake in the $US5 billion ($A6.2 billion) project.

The Canadian company and its partner Pacific LNG have been keen to sell the stake to help finance the cost of the LNG plant since InterOil bought out Merrill Lynch's stake in the project.
