Russia, China pipeline could hinder LNG demand

WHILE the long-term outlook for liquefied natural gas appears sunny, its near-term future has a potential cloud in the form of progress on a gas pipeline between Russia and China.

Energy research consultancy Wood Mackenzie said progress made on any supply deals from both west and east Siberia into China could see LNG demand squeezed if agreements could be reached.
