Hess wins Equus retention lease

US MAJOR independent Hess' has been granted a retention licence over WA-390-P, now WA-70-R, host to the Equus gas project on the North West Shelf of Western Australia.

The permit award, which is valid until 2021, removes pressure on Hess to develop the New York company's $8 billion development by securing the licence.
