Clean It, established in 2001, supplies industrial cleaning services including vacuum loading, high pressure water blasting, drain cleaning, pipe ferreting, hydro excavation, oil and oily water recovery, waste services, abrasive blasting, wet area slashing and street sweeping.

The company services both offshore infrastructure and onshore plants and other infrastructure from its Townsville base across central and north Queensland, the Gulf of Carpentaria, north-west Queensland and even across to remove Western Australia, the Northern Territory and New South Wales.

Clean It has made substantial investment in the latest industrial cleaning technology including vacuum trucks with greater airflow, high vacuum with dust filtration and cutting-edge ultra-high pressure industrial water jetting equipment

Veolia's group general manager for Queensland, Anthony Roderick, said that Clean It was always looking for ways to tailor individual client needs in line with its business values.

"These qualities and Clean It's prominent presence across the state make for an effective partnership and present additional growth opportunities across liquid, hazardous waste and industrial services for both our teams and network," Roderick said.

Clean It co-founder and managing director Darren McKenna said his company looked forward to joining Veolia's global network and combining their strengths.

"We believe Veolia's leadership team, culture, and operating philosophies are the best fit for us," McKenna said.

Before the acquisition, Veolia employed more than 4000 employees across more than 120 locations within the region.

Last month Veolia acquired Ellwaste Waste & Recycling Services, which services rural NSW and Victoria.
