Origin signs 50PJ gas development deal with private concern

THE undeveloped Golden Beach gas field in the shallow waters of the Gippsland Basin could finally be developed under a 50 petajoule, three-year gas offtake deal signed today between Origin Energy and a private start-up called GB Energy. 

 The field is in Victorian state waters 3-4km offshore, not far from famed Ninety Mile Beach.
