Could BHP dump oil?

BHP is considering exiting oil and gas, according to Bloomberg, however rumours have also emerged that the mining giant may have considered a bid for Woodside Petroleum earlier this year, despite its obvious lack of serious interest in the unsanctioned Scarborough project it shares with the company.
