AGL has sent a letter to shareholders urging them to vote in favour of its planned demerger as it faces stiff headwinds against it from billionaire and stockholder Mike Cannon-Brookes and some of its larger shareholders.
"Distinct dividend policies, capital structures, and financial policies for each company will support future growth and returns for shareholders," chairman Peter Botten wrote today.
